Androgynous Character Design Design Talk I love it when androgynous or non binary characters wear look like a mix of femme and masc, instead of just defaulting to masc because some cishet people think one can't be androgynous while having a feminine trait. for example: feminine cuts (dress, skirt, etc) with a masc aesthetic (like a camouflage pattern) a blazer and tie paired with a. It's kind of hard to explain. yet easy at the same time. basically subvert the normal exaggerate the sex characteristics and physical features, boobs, hips, muscles, shoulders, etc, and instead minimize and mix things together. slim body style, equil hip shoulders, mixed clothing and hair, posing to help sway things a bit either way if you need.

How To Draw An Androgynous Character Design Talk Published on sept. 26, 2023. at devcom last month, senior narrative designer arden osthof gave a talk entitled "playing with gender: a design framework for character customisation," giving tips on. I have made so many character designs of different shapes and sizes, but i would like to know in your opinion, what would you consider want out of an androgynous character design? this is a question i believe doesn't have a wrong answer but i would like yall's take on it!! (also note, i also posted this in r characterdesigns). Kappapeachie. i don't really think it's possible to design a nonbinary character who wouldn't easily get misgendered, because real life nonbinary people already do. nonbinary people can look like anyone. it's possible to look incredibly masculine, feminine, androgynous, or anything in that spectrum and be nonbinary. All designers who practice human centered design necessarily use an androgynous approach, regardless of their own identities or proclivities. it makes sense that a process focused on human needs and motivations is fully human, relying on the full potential of each designer, not just the masculine or feminine traits that happen to correspond.
